About Bi Yan

毕妍，国家一级演员，曾担任原中国东方歌舞团主要演员、中央民族大学舞蹈学院教师。中国舞蹈家协会会员，北京市舞蹈家协会会员，中国踢踏舞考级中心教师及考官，中国民族民间舞考级中心教师。1997年毕业于中央民族大学舞蹈系，曾荣获第五届全国青少年“桃李杯”舞蹈比赛中国民间舞青年组一等奖，同年获得第五届北京市舞蹈比赛民间舞表演一等奖，2000年获得朝鲜平壤“四月之春”国际艺术节独舞表演金奖。

Bi Yan, a state first-class artist, was a former leading dancer with the China Oriental Song and Dance Ensemble and a faculty member at the School of Dance at Minzu University of China. She is a member of the China Dancers Association and the Beijing Dancers Association, as well as a teacher and examiner at the Chinese Tap Dance Grading Center and the Chinese Folk Dance Grading Center. Bi Yan graduated from the Dance Department of Minzu University of China in 1997 and won first prize in the Youth Group of Chinese Folk Dance at the 5th National Taoli Cup Dance Competition. That same year, she also received first prize in Folk Dance Performance at the 5th Beijing Dance Competition. In 2000, she was awarded the gold medal for Solo Dance Performance at the April Spring International Art Festival in Pyongyang, North Korea.
